Key points
- South and Southeast Asia has 7 of the world's 50 busiest airports in 2024: India 2, and 1 each in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
- Singapore's Changi Airport has the fullest dated picture in this area: the SG Arrival Card, yellow-fever rules, and temperature screening for mpox and Nipah.
- India launched Air Suvidha 2.0, a health self-declaration portal for international arrivals, on 25 June 2026, for Ebola surveillance.
- For Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, no airport-specific health item was found in research. That is absence of evidence, not evidence of absence.
- For passenger figures, see the directory — the only page on this site that carries them. This page lists ranks, airports and cities only.
Direct answer: South and Southeast Asia has 7 of the world's 50 busiest airports in 2024 — Delhi and Mumbai in India, and one each in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. This region has the fullest dated picture in the whole airport area: Singapore's SG Arrival Card and screening, and India's Air Suvidha 2.0 declaration portal. For the other four airports, no airport-specific health item was found in research — absence of evidence, not evidence of absence. No airport on this page is given a health rating, because no public per-airport rating exists.
The 7 airports
Passenger figures are not repeated here — the directory is the only page on this site that carries them. Ranks are from the 2024 ranking (ACI World Airport Traffic Dataset, 2025 Edition); ranks 21–50 are DRAFT, as the directory explains.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | Indira Gandhi International Airport | Delhi | India | DEL |
| 15 | Singapore Changi Airport | Singapore | Singapore | SIN |
| 20 | Suvarnabhumi Airport | Bangkok | Thailand | BKK |
| 26 | Kuala Lumpur International Airport | Sepang, Selangor | Malaysia | KUL |
| 30 | Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport | Mumbai | India | BOM |
| 31 | Soekarno–Hatta International Airport | Tangerang (Jakarta) | Indonesia | CGK |
| 37 | Ninoy Aquino International Airport | Manila | Philippines | MNL |
Singapore: the fullest dated picture
Singapore Changi Airport (rank 15) has the fullest dated picture of any airport in this area. An SG Arrival Card with an electronic health declaration is required for all arrivals, to be submitted within three days of arrival; transit passengers who stay airside are exempt. A yellow-fever certificate is required if the traveller was in a yellow-fever-risk country in the prior six days, or transited there for more than 12 hours — the transit rule that catches travellers at airports specifically, explained in the IHR guide on this site. Temperature and visual screening was in place at Changi for mpox from 23 August 2024, and for Nipah from January 2026 on flights from affected areas. All of these are dated snapshots: the declaration requirement is the standing item, and the screening measures are event-driven and may have lapsed. Check the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority and Ministry of Health before travel.
India: Air Suvidha 2.0
India launched Air Suvidha 2.0, a health self-declaration portal for international arrivals, on 25 June 2026, for Ebola surveillance. It applies at Delhi (rank 9) and Mumbai (rank 30), and at India’s other international airports. India also requires a yellow-fever certificate from travellers arriving from yellow-fever-risk countries, as the CDC destination page for India records. A Hyderabad airport Ebola advisory of 22 May 2026, from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is the model for Indian airport advisories — Mumbai’s own advisory was not checked in the research, and this page does not claim one exists. As with Singapore, the declaration is a surveillance tool: check the current requirement before departure, keep the reference, and answer travel history honestly.
Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines
For Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (rank 20), Kuala Lumpur (rank 26), Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta (rank 31) and Manila Ninoy Aquino (rank 37), no airport-specific health item was found in the research behind this area. The country-level route exists for all four — the CDC destination page and the IATA Travel Centre for the country, and the destination country’s own health authority — and that is the route this page recommends. The absence of a found item is stated plainly because it is not a finding: no airport-operator health page was opened for all 50 airports, and the absence of a found item must never be presented as “no measures at this airport”. The framework that applies is the same everywhere in this area: all four countries are States Parties to the International Health Regulations, and their designated airports must hold the Annex 1 core capacities.
